Creative Campaigns That Drive Results.

Role: Art Direction, Branding, Design, Photography

After Kaye-Smith acquired Kore Group in 2019, I found myself the Lead Designer for a second company. Then my role expanded even more to include Brand Director overseeing branding, social media and self-promotion for both companies.

Self Promotion Campaign

A couple of the ways our team met potential clients is at networking events and tradeshows. And if you have a tradeshow booth, you've got to have tradeshow giveaways. If you've ever been to one, you know the kind of stuff companies usually give away; cheap pens or keychains with a big company logo on it. Not the kind of thing you want to keep. As the Brand Director, I threw all that out and started fresh. The bright bold graphics of our first self-promotion campaign was a clear line in the sand that we weren't doing the same boring giveaways as our competitors.

Kaye-Smith Website Redesign

Kaye-Smith's bread and butter was critical communication document processing. Stuff like medical records and utility bills. Stuff that's full of sensitive information that has to go out on time. The challenge with the website was to share what the company does in an interesting way. Managing input from stakeholders across the company, I came up with a design that's dynamic, colorful and speaks to the human interaction with our services. I shot a lot of the photos and videos on the site, wrangled different opinions in meetings, worked with a freelance copywriter, and troubleshot it all with our web developer to get the look just right.

Employee Gifts

Everyone likes a little something nice around the holidays. To show the love to its employees, Kaye-Smith liked to hand out gifts every year. For 2023, the branding team decided a really nice item was better than lots of underwhelming ones. Since we had offices in three states, I came up with a separate design for each, that employees could order from an online store. The art went on some heavy-duty Champion sweatshirts that are going to last a long, long time. Of the 200 employees, 143 ordered a sweatshirt. Getting one person a sweatshirt that they'll like is hard enough, designing three that 72% of the people in a company will like, is a win any day.
