Branding From The Ground Up.

Role: Branding, Design

Rebranding of the DoubleTree Llyod's main restaurant in Portland, Oregon. The project included naming, logo design, and design of all printed collateral.

Logo Design

When the DoubleTree Hotel in Portland came to Kore Group with the idea to create a new restaurant in their lobby, all I had to work with was a mood board from the interior designer. No name, no logo, no brand. I had to create all that from scratch. The result is Gather, an invitation to hotel guests to meet and a nod to the Pacific Northwest menu that incorporates locally sourced ingredients.

Print Collateral

A restaurant is going to need menus. To keep costs down for the client, Kore Group printed the basestock in advance, giving Gather the flexibility to update their menus as needed. It's a little thing, but it saves the client money and makes their job easier.

Signage

The DoubleTree Hotel is right across from the Llyod Center Mall, on a busy street, in a high-density neighborhood. The restaurant is tucked around the corner in the hotel lobby, so we needed to get the word out it was there. Luckily the hotel has a big blank canvas to work with. Thousands of people a day drive and walk by the signs, resulting in a noticeable uptick in restaurant's business.
